The Friends of the Madison Public Library in cooperation with the Madison Rotary Club and the Madison Area YMCA announce the fundraiser Touch-A-Truck for 2012, featuring trucks to touch, climb, and photograph. Touch-A-Truck 2012 will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2012, from 10am-2pm. From diggers to dumpers, limousines to rescue trucks, children and parents will be amazed at the vehicles gathered on the grounds of the Madison Public Library and the Madison Area YMCA. In 2010, over 1,200 people attended and an even greater turn-out is expected this year.
The ultimate goal is for 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Madison Public Library. To do this, we are offering Madison area businesses the opportunity to sponsor a truck. Sponsorship levels are:
Motorcycle (up to $100):
Name listed in Event Program
Ambulance ($100-$250):
Recognition in local press
Acknowledgement on Friends website
Appreciation in FMPL Newsletter
Thank You in Event Program
All sponsor Tribute in local media
Police Car ($250-$499):
All benefits of Ambulance level, plus
Logo/Name on Event Signage
2 event tickets (choice of adult or child)
Fire Truck ($500 – $999):
All benefits of Police Car level, plus
Large Logo/Name on Event Signage
Total of 4 event tickets (choice of adult or child)
Monster Truck ($1000 +)
All benefits of Fire Truck level, plus
Primary Logo/Name on Event Signage
Total of 6 event tickets (choice of adult or child)
The Madison Public Library provides many services for both adults and children. Throughout the year there are activities for kids of all ages from story times to art projects, music, chess and computer familiarity. For adults there are lecture series, book groups, movie nights and other activities. Money raised by Touch-A-Truck will go toward supporting these programs as well as library acquisitions of books and media that make the library such a vital resource.
