EAGLE EDITORIAL: Madison’s People Love Their Library

When then-Councilman Robert Conley was running what turned out to be his successful campaign for mayor last summer and fall, he held several “town meetings” in Madison neighborhoods  …  He wanted to hear what Madison residents considered as their town’s most vital services.

Not surprisingly, emergency services like fire and police protection consistently topped the list at those gatherings.

But so did the Madison Public Library.
