Thanks so much to all of the participants, sponsors and volunteers for their generous contribution, especially the truck owners and local organizations who volunteered their vehicles, and the parents, grandparents and children who came to the event.
We raised approximately $20,000 thanks to your generosity.
Special thanks to the Madison YMCA for their support and for allowing us to use their parking lots, to the Madison Rotary and the Madison Public Library for their cooperation, and to Carmine Toto for the railway display.
MADISON – In response to their 2011 Annual Appeal, the Friends of the Madison Public Library received a strong message from the community that came through loud and clear:
Madison loves its library.
When then-Councilman Robert Conley was running what turned out to be his successful campaign for mayor last summer and fall, he held several “town meetings” in Madison neighborhoods … He wanted to hear what Madison residents considered as their town’s most vital services.
Not surprisingly, emergency services like fire and police protection consistently topped the list at those gatherings.
But so did the Madison Public Library.

The Friends of the Madison Public Library in cooperation with the Madison Rotary Club and the Madison Area YMCA announce the fundraiser Touch-A-Truck for 2012, featuring trucks to touch, climb, and photograph. Touch-A-Truck 2012 will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2012, from 10am-2pm. Read More
