Touch-A-Truck 2012

Every two years on an even numbered year, the Friends of the Madison Public Library in cooperation with the Madison Rotary Club and the Madison Area YMCA organize  the fundraiser Touch-A-Truck , featuring trucks to touch, climb, and photograph.

From diggers to dumpers, limousines to rescue trucks, children and parents all enjoy  the vehicles gathered on the grounds of the Madison Public Library and the Madison Area YMCA. Each year, over 1,000 people turn out. The ultimate goal is for all proceeds to go directly to the Madison Public Library.  As part of the fundraising effort, Madison area businesses have the opportunity to sponsor a truck.

The Madison Public Library provides many services for both adults and children. Throughout the year there are activities for kids of all ages from story times to art projects, music, chess and computer familiarity. For adults there are lecture series, book groups, movie nights and other activities. Money raised by Touch-A-Truck goes toward supporting these programs as well as library acquisitions of books and media that make the library such a vital resource.
